I would never recomend tire that would be unsafe to anyone. I have run chinese tires ever since I have owned my savage. I have never never never had a problem with them and would recomend them to anyone that wants to save a few bucks and wants good tires.
Note: "tire" is the correct spelling in the United States.
As I stated my 140/90/15 rubs when 2 up which I do not do and only if the shocks are adjusted to the lightest setting which I do not do either. And if at any time my tire rubbed the belt they would be replaced asap. But I bet that Rooster's problem is the alignment of his rear wheel or the design of the particular tire he is using, because 5yrs of ownership and 4 sets of 140/90/15 tires I'm still alive and well.
